Chief Executive Officer and Chairman

Co-founder, chief executive officer, and chairman. He has overseen company operations since founding and led the team that advanced IMS001 to FDA IND clearance in 2020.

Xiaofang Wang, M.D., Ph.D.

Chief Technology Officer

Co-founder and CTO. Key inventor of the two-step hESC-to-T-MSC method. Trained at Peking University, MD Anderson, Yale, and UConn Stem Cell Institute.

Rudolf Jaenisch, M.D., Ph.D.

Scientific advisor

Professor of Biology at MIT and founding member of the Whitehead Institute. Pioneer of transgenic science and a major figure in embryonic and induced pluripotent stem cells.

Jeffery Cohen, M.D.

Scientific advisor

Director of the Mellen Center for Multiple Sclerosis at Cleveland Clinic. Designed and conducted major MS trials, including work that led to fingolimod and an autologous MSC study in progressive MS.

Hongkui Deng, Ph.D.

Scientific advisor

Director of the Peking University Stem Cell Research Center. Known for chemical reprogramming of adult cells and CRISPR-based hematopoietic gene editing.

Troy Lund, M.D., Ph.D.

Scientific advisor

Pediatric transplant physician at the University of Minnesota, specializing in adrenoleukodystrophy and collaborating with ImStem on T-MSC for cALD.

Joel Pachter, Ph.D.

Scientific advisor

Professor of Cell Biology at UConn Health. Expert in blood–brain barrier biology and collaborator on T-MSC mechanism in multiple sclerosis.

David Benjamin Turitz Cox, M.D., Ph.D.

Scientific advisor

Physician-scientist trained in the Zhang lab at MIT; advisor on genome-editing tools and their application to cell therapy.
